Strengthening the relationship between India and Latin America and the Caribbean
Abstract
The economic relationship between India and Latin America and the Caribbean is at an emerging stage, with significant room for growth in terms of international trade, foreign direct investment (FDI) and cooperation between these two important regions. This publications presents several economic, social and trade indicators related to both regions.

Foreword .-- I. In a decelerating world, India is an important exception, whereas Latin American economies present a more complex picture .-- II. In India, just as in Latin America and the Caribbean, international trade plays an important role.However, the bilateral relationship has much scope for growth .-- III. On a global scale, Latin America and the Caribbean are important recipients of foreign direct investment, while India has seen an increase in these flows in recent years .-- IV. There is great potential in the economic relationship between India and Latin America and the Caribbean, but to realize it various challenges must be overcome .-- V. Conclusions and Recommendations.
