dc.description.abstractThe Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC) has joined global efforts to promote the integration of geospatial and statistical information, and understands their value in supporting areas such as decision-making, public policies, national development strategies and the monitoring of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. This article aims to provide an overview of the process, including the lines of action and activities that are being pursued at the global level and the measures to put the global proposals into practice in Latin America and the Caribbean.
