dc.description.abstractEn este libro se recogen las ponencias presentadas por destacados economistas latinoamericanos en el seminario La reforma de la fiscalidad en América Latina, celebrado en Barcelona los días 7 y 8 de octubre de 2011, en el marco de la Agenda de Desarrollo Iberoamericano. Desde 2004, esta iniciativa, impulsada por el Centro de Estudios y Documentación Internacionales de Barcelona (CIDOB), la Secretaría General Iberoamericana (SEGIB) y la Comisión Económica para América Latina y el Caribe (CEPAL), con el apoyo de diversas empresas patrocinadoras, pretende conjugar la discusión académica con el debate político en diversos temas cruciales para la región. Por medio de un riguroso y pormenorizado análisis de la actual situación política, económica y social de los países de América Latina, se busca ofrecer recomendaciones de política que contribuyan a hacer compatible el crecimiento económico de la región con la mejora del bienestar de sus ciudadanos.
