dc.description.abstractSobre la base de información proveniente de las encuestas de hogares de 15 países que, juntos representan al 85% de la población rural de América Latina, se da una mirada detallada al empleo rural y, específicamente, a las ramas de actividad que conforman el empleo rural no agrícola. Al mismo tiempo, se analizan las características de las personas ocupadas y se destacan las diferencias en términos de perfiles de edad, educación y sexo, así como de .categorías ocupacionales. Por lo tanto el documento aporta una mirada sobre el empleo rural inédita a la fecha, por la cobertura de países, detalle y manera sistemática de abordar cada ítem de modo esencialmente visual, a través de gráficos.
