dc.description.abstractEl Anuario Estadístico de América Latina y el Caribe presenta un conjunto de estadísticas básicas que caracterizan la situación económica, sociodemográfica y ambiental de la región referidas a un período en particular. Esta información forma parte del conjunto de estadísticas disponibles en CEPALSTAT, el portal de bases de datos y publicaciones estadísticas de la CEPAL. [en línea] http://estadisticas.cepal.org/cepalstat/ Publicación bilingüe (español e inglés), aparece por primera vez en 1973 en sustitución del Boletín estadístico para América Latina y el Caribe, que se publicaba dos veces al año desde 1967. A partir de 2005 el Anuario se difunde en dos modalidades: una versión impresa (también disponible en formato PDF) que reúne una selección de cuadros destinados a brindar información estadística desde la perspectiva regional, privilegiando la comparabilidad internacional de los datos; y una versión electrónica con una mayor cobertura temática y temporal, que brinda información más detallada sobre la situación económica, social y ambiental de cada país. Para facilitar el uso de los datos, los cuadros se presentan en formato de planilla electrónica. Las ediciones anteriores a 2005 del Anuario Estadístico pueden ser consultadas a través de CEPALSTAT, el portal de bases de datos y publicaciones estadísticas de la CEPAL o en el Repositorio Digital de la CEPAL.
dc.description.abstractEngThe Statistical Yearbook for Latin America and the Caribbean of ECLAC presents a set of basic statistics on the economic, sociodemographic and environmental situation of the region during a specific time period. This information is part of the statistics available in CEPALSTAT, t he statistical databases and publications portal of ECLAC [online] http://estadisticas. cepal.org/cepalstat/. This edition of the Yearbook includes information available up to mid-December 2014. As has been the case since 2005, there are some differences between the printed and electronic versions of the Yearbook. The printed version contains a selection of tables providing statistical information from the regional perspective, with emphasis on the international comparability of data, such as the national accounts statistics in dollars prepared by ECLAC. The electronic version, available on CD-ROM and on the ECLAC website, includes a greater number of tables —and over a much longer period— with more detailed information on countries’ economic, social and environmental situation.
