dc.description.abstractSince the end of the Uruguay Round, Brazil has become a protagonist in the multilateral trade system and in its dispute resolution mechanism. This work analyzes the Brazilian experience, and explains how a greater participation in trade disputes was provoked by institutional and political changes that took effect in the country during the last two decades. These changes include an active participation from the private sector and the political relevance that trade disputes have acquired.
