dc.description.abstractEn esta edición del Perspectivas del Comercio Internacional de América Latina y el Caribe se examina la compleja coyuntura por la que atraviesa el comercio de la región en 2023, en un contexto marcado por la débil demanda mundial, la caída del precio de las materias primas y los crecientes vínculos entre el comercio y la geopolítica. Asimismo, se presenta un balance de las relaciones comerciales con China en las últimas décadas, que pese a su gran dinamismo mantienen inalterado su patrón de intercambio de materias primas por manufacturas. Por último, se pasa revista a los avances y desafíos de la región en materia de facilitación del comercio. Al respecto, se concluye que deben intensificarse los esfuerzos para digitalizar las formalidades comerciales, así como explorarse modalidades innovadoras de financiamiento para mejorar la infraestructura regional de transporte y logística.
